This was combined with a visit (10 days) to Dr Robert Angus at Royal Holloway College (London University) to discuss our joint work on the aquatic fauna of the Sinai peninsula .


Six months at the University of Arizona (USA), funded by a Fulbright Scholarship, to work with Prof. Justin Schmidt on the biochemistry of insect venom, from Oct 1993 to April 1994


Eight weeks at Nottingham University (UK) to work on a book about the Butterflies of Sinai, from July 1994 to Sept 1994
